National Indoor Juvenile Championships
Ferrybank A.C. athletes once again excelled
on the two weekends of the National Indoor Juvenile
championships accumulating 27 gold 11 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Trebles were recorded by Kelly proper in the under 19
60m hurdles, 200meters and long jump and by Mairead Murphy in the under
18 60m hurdles, 200 meters and 60m. Double golds were recorded by Niamh
Whelan (60m & 200m under 17) John Francis (800m & 1500m
under 16) and Christopher Russell (60m & 200m under 17).
Golde medalists were Ann O Shea (under 12 60m), Ciara Giles Doran
(under 12 long jump), Cian Daniels ( under 13 600m), Gavin Downey
(under 18 1500m), Beth Walsh (under 16 1500m), Mairead deevy
(under 18 300m), Ben Cunningham (under 15 high jump), Jessie
Barr (under 18 long jump), Shane Quinn (800m under 15), Niall Tuohy
(800m under 18), Hayley Murphy (under 18 triple jump) and relays by
under 12, 18 & 19 girls and boys under 17.
Silver medals were won by Nicola power (under
16 long jump), Mairead Deevy (under 18 60m & 200m), Thomas Barr (under 15 high
jump), Grainne Quinn (under 18 1500m), Dayle Kennedy (under 17 shot),
Gavin Kennedy (under 17 long jump), Lorraine McCarthy (under 17 1500m)
Jessie Barr (under 18 hurdles) Kitty Walsh (under 16 800meters) and
the girls under 17 relay.
Bronze medals were won by Niamh Ryan (under 17 1500m), Cian
Daniels (under 13 long Jump), Luke Kelly (under 12 shot), Cara
Kennedy (under 15 shot), Ciaran Donnelly (under 16 hurdles), Haley
Murphy (under 18 long jump & 60m).
