Ferrybank A.C. athletes dominate
NAtional Junior Indoor Championships
Athletes from Ferrybank A.C. dominated
the Irish Junior Indoor Championships held in Nenagh on Sunday
last.
Mairead Murphy was in outstsanding form
easily winning the 60m hurdles and also taking the gold medal in the
60m by one hundredth of a second from her clubmate Naimh Whelan.
Niamh went on to take gold in the 200m with clubmates Mairead Deevy
and Brenda Doherty in second and third positions.
Jessie Barr had an oustanding day
winning the 400m and triple jump and also taking the silver medal in
the 60m hurdles.
Christopher Russell made a welcome
return from injury in style recording a personal best for the silver
medal in the 60m and taking gold in the 200m.
kelly proper took gold in her
speciality event, the long jump.
Sinead Donnelly won a pair of silvers
in the long and triple jump recording a lifetime best jump in the
long jump.
Dayle kennedy was second in the shot
with team mate Shane kennedy third and Mary O Connor took the bronze
in the 1500m.
