Day 1 of the All Ireland Juvenile Championships, Tullamore, 20th July 2002
We had some great results from Tullamore today, day one of the All Ireland Championships.
Sinead Donnelly won the high jump and went on to get a personal best with 1.41m. Her brother Ciaran won the under 12
long jump with 4.30m Zoe Kinsella was 5th in the hurdles. Brendan Cullinane was 4th in the shot with 8.65m. Niall Keller
won silver with 3.74m in the under 10 long jump. Gavin Kennedy claimed second place in the 60m hurdles. John Francis
was 6th in the high jump but was off the pace in the 600 meters in a top class field. Well done to all who competed. The
relay's are taking place tomorrow at the same venue.
Day 2 of the All Ireland Juvenile Championships, Tullamore, 21st July 2002
We had five teams competing in these relay championships and the girls under 14 team of Mairead Murphy, Kalyn Sheehan,
Hayley Murphy and
Holly Kavanagh won their event easily. Well done girls!
The girls under 15 team of Holly Deegan, Kelly Proper, Mairead Murphy and Kalyn
Sheehan finished second.
The girls under 13 team of Sinead Donnelly, Erica Walsh, Emma Hannigan and Zoe Kinsella finished fourth.
The boys under 12 and 13 teams ran well but could not make it out of the heats.
