Kelly 5th in Birmingham Grand Prix
On Saturday last in Birmingham Kelly Proper competed in a top class Long Jump competition at the Grand Prix Indoor meeting and despite being below her best she finished a very creditable 5th with a leap of 6.33 metres, the event was won by Gomes from Portugal with a leap of 6.69 metres which is slightly above Kelly's best ever effort. This type of event is ideal for Kelly and gives her an idea of what is required when she moves up another step in her bid to compete against the very best, something she will be doing in a few weeks at the World Indoors in Qatar.
