County Cross Country Championships, Dungarvan, Day 2, 13th October 2002
The club had an excellent day at the county cross country, retaining the overall trophy for the best club by a narrow margin, from West Waterford.
In the girls u-10, Ciara Murray finished second overall with the team also taking the silver medals. In the boys u-10, Adam Potter ran an excellent race
to finish first and in the team section, we were first and third.
In the girls u-12, Ciara Cronin had a convincing win and led her team to victory also. In the boys u-12, John Francis finished first, closely followed by Robert Cunningham in second place. The teams finished first and third.
In the girls u-14, the teams finished second and third overall. Niall Tuohy finished second in the boys u-14 and he led his team to the silver medals.
Holly Deegan had an emphatic win in the girls u-16 and her team finished second overall.
Philip Conway and vincent Halley finished second and third in the boys u-18.
Congratulations to all who participated for the club. You helped to retain the cup for the best cross country club in Waterford.
